Seller Description

*sigh* Putting my baby up for sale. Time to move on. I bought the car in 2012 and drove it daily for a few years, then relegated it to weekend cruising and HPDEs.

The car is clean and ready to go. Needs nothing. It comes with a ton of extras, all of which are negotiable.

Only 1815 of the M coupes were sold in North America from 2006 to 2008, less than 300 in this color, Interlagos Blue, and only 14 of those with the Light Sepang Extended leather interior. The 3.2L S54 engine is shared with the M3 of the same vintage and is rated at 333HP. This is the last of the normally aspirated inline six BMWs. It’s hydraulic steering (no drive by wire here) is among the most responsive and quickest you’ll see. And the manual transmission, while old school, is a joy to drive.

If you’re familiar with the S54 engine you'll be wondering: yes, the rod bearings were replaced proactively at 81k, the VANOS has not been touched. Just had a full paint correction and detail done, oil change, brake flush, new brake pads, new battery.

Major service has been done at two local race shops: BTM Motorwerks and Edge Motorworks. I've done most of the routine maintenance myself. (Oil changes, brakes, etc.)

Cosmetically it's in very good shape, but not perfect. There are a few paint chips, the rear apron was damaged by misaligned hot exhaust tips (although it's hard to see), the windshield gasket has a tear (but no leaks), the headlight washers are disconnected (because the covers tend to blow off at high speed).

The shift knob in the pictures is not included. I’ve reinstalled the stock shift knob.

The JRZs are fantastic on track. For the street I dial them down to full soft and the ride is better than stock. The current alignment is aggressive (3.5 front, 2.5 rear, 0.06° toe) but it tracks perfectly on the street.
