Seller Description

I’m selling my 2007 BMW Z4M Coupe with 81k miles in what I believe is the perfect spec: Interlagos Blue, Black Nappa Leather, Carbon Leather trim, the top-optioned Carver DSP stereo, and no dated navigation screen.

It is 99% stock with some very subtle modifications, and everything works; ready to be driven and enjoyed.

I spent years trying to find this spec until picking it up last fall from a retired doctor and long-time BMW CCA member. Since then, I’ve gone through the car to make sure everything is solid & ready to drive anywhere in the country. The only reason I’m selling is that I just don’t fit comfortably (I’m 6’5” with a large build), so it’s time to pass this along to someone else.

There were fewer than 80 of this spec produced and only ~1,800 Z4M Coupes made for the US overall, making it one of the rarest modern BMWs. This is truly one of the great BMW M cars with a ideal balance of driving feel, all-around performance, and just enough creature comforts to not be tiring.

The original BMW car cover will come with it.

I’ve documented my journey owning (and trying to make this car fit me) on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFZegVZsYiomBYGay8IHTnxK5Oh-E8tOD

I’ll provide all of the information I can think of below—please read this before sending questions.

ENGINE
- All stock & in great condition. No leaks. Runs great, sounds great. I’m always careful to let the oil warm up fully.
- Oil & filter changed with 10w60
- Thermostat replaced & cooling fan connector contacts cleaned to resolve an issue with the car not staying cool at idle. The engine never overheated and this was resolved immediately so that no damage was done. Issue was that the cooling fan wasn’t turning on because the fan connector wasn’t making a good connection, which is a known Z4 platform issue.

TRANSMISSION
- Shifts great; clutch is strong. Works as it should.
- Clutch line replaced with Bimmerworld stainless line
- Fluid replaced (was very clean, so I believe this was already done previously)
- I believe the previous owner removed the Clutch Delay Valve (CDV), but haven’t verified that visually. It drives like it’s been removed, which is a definite positive.

EXHAUST
- All stock & in great condition. Needs nothing.

SUSPENSION
- All stock & in great condition. Needs nothing.

WHEELS/TIRES
- Refreshed to like brand new.
- Wheels were refinished and powdercoated with Prismatic BMW Silver + Clear Coat
- Vredestein Ultrac Pro 225/40R18 & 255/35R18 installed when wheels were refinished
- Previous owner fitted wheel studs and 12mm hubcentric spacers in the front

INTERIOR
- Bluetooth audio adapter added (piggyback harness connected to the head unit in dash)

EXTERIOR
- Front bumper cover restored & repainted
- Headlight lenses wetsanded & polished

BRAKES
- Brakes are excellent; I thoroughly serviced the brakes after getting the car home from buying it. Car stops very impressively well and has great manners.
- New OE front rotors; rear rotors are in good condition still and have plenty of life left
- New pads front & rear
- New Bimmerworld braided stainless brake lines
- All calipers rebuilt with new seals
- New brake fluid; fully bled the system with fresh fluid

CONS & QUIRKS-----------------------

I'll lean into oversharing here:
- Minor paint scratches here and there. Nothing concerning; just standard wear and tear from being driven. Car has never seen winter and has no corrosion or rust at all.
- Previous owner was an older doctor and longtime BMW CCA member that occasionally drove this car on track as an instructor. They fitted it with a rollbar that I removed after purchasing so that the seat could move all the way back.
- When I bought it, the front bumper cover was very scraped up and worn through on the bottom edge. I very carefully repaired and repainted the bumper using the best materials and methods I could find, and it turned out great. There are some cracks in the plastic drip tray beneath the engine, but they don’t impact drivability of the car in any way. I had no idea they were there until I removed the bumper.
- Interior overall is in great condition (and is one of my favorite parts of the car) but there are a couple nicks here and there. There’s one spot in the driver door panel just below the lock pin and then another on the leg pad on the passenger side of the tunnel. The door jams have a few nicks where it looks like a seatbelt was closed in the door on accident.
- The car came to me with a broken wire on the harness for the windshield washer nozzles. I repaired this with high-quality wire, splices and heatshrink, as you can see in one of the linked videos.

This M Coupe is ready to drive and will make an amazing car for its next owner! If you’re interested, send me a message. I’m happy to work with you if you want to have the car shipped somewhere.

If it’s listed, it’s available. Car is located in Lake Mills, Wisconsin.
