Seller Description

This 2006 BMW Z4 M Coupe was sold on BaT in September 2021 before it was acquired by the current owner in 2024, and it now has 73k miles. Work completed since 2021 included rebuilding the VANOS system, a valve adjustment, and replacing the rod bearings, cylinder head gasket, crankshaft seal, timing cover gaskets, timing chain guides, windshield, cowl, steering wheel, and exterior badging. Powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a six-speed manual transmission, the car is finished in Silver Gray Metallic over Imola Red leather upholstery. Further equipment includes the Premium Package, which added power-adjustable seats and a premium sound system. Additional details include 18″ Style 224M alloy wheels, a limited-slip differential, xenon headlights, heated seats, a BMW Business CD stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This Z4 M Coupe is now offered on dealer consignment with one key, manufacturer’s literature, recent service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Minnesota title.

Just 1,815 Z4 M Coupes were produced for the North American market between 2006 and 2008, and this example is #5 of approximately 16 produced with Silver Gray Metallic over Imola Red Nappa leather interior with Carbon leather interior trim. Equipment includes xenon headlights with concealed washers as well as rain-sensing windshield wipers, M badging, and quad-exit exhaust outlets. The front bumper cover was replaced and refinished in 2015, and work in 2024 included repairing exterior dings and replacing the windshield, cowl, right roof rail trim, and exterior badging. There is a scratch on the left rocker panel.

The 18″ Style 224M alloy wheels were refinished in dark metallic gray under previous ownership, and they are mounted with 245/40 front and 275/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires that show 2021 production codes. Braking is handled by ventilated and cross-drilled rotors at each corner, and the Z4 M was equipped with a revised steering rack sourced from the contemporary M3 CSL. An alignment was performed in April 2024.

Imola Red leather upholstery covers the heated and power-adjustable sport seats and extends to the door panel inserts. The Premium Package added Bluetooth phone connectivity and a premium sound system. Additional features include Carbon leather trim, a backlit shift knob, aftermarket pedal covers, M-logo floor mats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a BMW Business CD stereo. Repairs were performed on the driver’s outer seat bolster and the left door armrest in early 2024. The headliner is loose near the left sun visor.

The replacement leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a 190-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 73k miles, approximately 4k of which were added during current ownership.

The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six features individual throttle bodies and double-VANOS variable valve timing. Output was rated at 330 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque when new. The rod bearings and right engine mount were replaced in August 2021, and work in April 2024 consisted of a valve adjustment, rebuilding the VANOS system, an oil change, and replacing the cylinder head gasket, crankshaft seal, timing cover gaskets, and timing chain guides. An itemized invoice for the VANOS rebuild is viewable in the gallery below.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The right-rear CV axle was recently replaced.

Manufacturer’s literature, a key, an antenna, and recent service records are included in the sale.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
