Doug's Take
The BMW Z4 M Coupe is a really cool and underrated sports car – its mandatory 6-speed manual transmission and S54 6-cylinder engine from the E46 M3 provide plenty of driving thrills, and its unique styling gives it more practicality than the Roadster model. This particular Z4 M is finished in a classic color combination, and it touts some nice factory equipment – including the Premium Package, a limited-slip differential, and heated seats. It also comes with relatively low mileage, no major modifications, and a clean, accident-free Carfax report, for added buyer confidence.

- BMW M released its take on the first-generation Z4 for the 2006 model year. Offered as a coupe (E86) and as a convertible (E85), the M model received a straight-6 engine shared with the M3, a hydraulic power steering system, brakes from the M3 CSL, and a firmer suspension along with other M-specific upgrades. Production ended in 2008. According to the Z4 M Coupe Buyer's Guide, just 1,815 coupe models were sold in North America from 2006 to 2008.
