Seller Description

This 2006 BMW Z4 M coupe is finished in Interlagos Blue Metallic over black leather and powered by a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six mated with a six-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, navigation, a HiFi audio system, xenon headlights, and heated and power-adjustable sport seats. Modifications include Epic Motorsports engine management software, an AutoSolutions short-throw shifter, BavSound speakers, 18″ M3-style wheels, European-specification M3 headers paired with a DKF exhaust system, Bilstein shocks with Eibach springs, and a Wavetrac limited-slip differential. The car spent time in California, Alabama, and Texas prior to the seller’s acquisition and subsequent relocation to Florida in 2016. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale, and a VANOS anti-rattle kit was installed along with replacement rod bearings in 2020. This E86 M Coupe has just under 170k miles and is now offered with factory tools, service records, Blackstone Laboratories oil reports, a Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

The exterior is finished in Interlagos Blue Metallic (A30) and features xenon headlights with washers, quad exhaust outlets, and front fender-mounted Roundels with integrated turn signal indicators. The Carfax report shows an accident from April 2012, and no other information is provided. The seller notes a ding near the base of the antenna, clearcoat peeling on the left mirror cap, and that the windshield and rear hatch glass were replaced in April 2021. Chipping is visible on the edges of the left door as well as stone chips on the front bumper, hood, and mirror caps.

18″ wheels sourced from a later-model M3 are fitted and wrapped with Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires that measure 245/40 up front and 265/40 out back. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors that were replaced along with the brake pads in January 2021. A Bilstein B12 Pro kit with Eibach springs was installed in December 2020 along with RevShift trailing arm bushings and replacement sway bar end links, shock mounts, and control arm bushings.

The cabin features power-adjustable and heated sport seats upholstered in black Nappa leather with matching door panels and carpets along with carbon-look leather trim on the doors, dashboard, and center console. Equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, HiFi audio, and power windows and locks. Interior modifications include an AutoSolutions short-throw shifter, BlueBus Bluetooth connectivity, and BavSound speakers and subwoofers. The seller notes delamination on the navigation screen and that the ceiling-mounted sunglass holder does not stay closed.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames instrumentation including a 190-mph speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature. The digital odometer shows just under 170k miles, approximately 47k of which have been added by the seller.

The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six features individual throttle bodies and double-VANOS variable valve timing, and it is modified with Epic Motorsports engine management software. The seller states the oil was changed in April 2021 at 165k miles, and a valve adjustment was performed in 2020. Additional service during current ownership included:

  • Fuel injectors and seals replaced along with fuel pump and pressure regulator assembly
  • VANOS system overhauled with an anti-rattle kit
  • Rod bearings replaced

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, and the car is fitted with European-specification M3 headers and a DKF catted exhaust system. Two axles were replaced in January 2021, a Wavetrac limited-slip differential with a 3.91:1 final drive was installed in December 2020, and the clutch disc, flywheel, slave cylinder, and hoses were replaced in August 2020 at 151k miles.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage in April 2012 and lists registration and service history in California, Alabama, Texas, and Florida.
