The BMW Z4M Coupe is a rare and beautiful sports car. There were only 1815 made from 2006-08. 2008 is the rarest year, there were only 250 made. I searched for 6 months to find a 2008 with extended leather, carbon trim and no navigation (nav systems in any car age quickly).
The Z4M is a great sports car. Google "The Drive Best Sports Car" and watch the first 8-10 minutes of their video where they pick the Z4M coupe as the best sports car made in the last 10 years, period. I agree with their assessment, I have owned Porsches and a Lotus Elise and driven pretty much everything from 911s to Z06s. This is the best and purest sports car of the bunch.
The Z4M has the S54 in line 6 cylinder engine which puts out 333hp, no turbos, no lag. It has a flat torque curve that has instant response, especially when you put the car in sport mode. The gearbox has tight short throws that just feel right. The car is genuinely quick and corners flat. Steering is predictable and precise. You feel like you are part of the car when you go through a sweeping turn.
I'm selling 'this car to buy another classic. After mechanically restoring a 1970 vette I'm ready to take on a bigger project and need the room in the garage. The car has no issues, a new alternator and battery were put in earlier this year along with new Michelin Pilot Sport rear tires, the front tires were replaced when I picked up the car in Washington State prior to driving it home to Texas where it was originally purchased. A BMW dealer inspected the car before my purchase and found no accidents or issues.
